54 held in anti-drug drives in city

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in anti-drug drives arrested 54 people along with drugs from different areas of the city .



Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in anti-drug drives arrested 54 people along with drugs from different areas of the city in last 24 hours as of 6:00 am, Wednesday.
During the drives, 2,416 Yaba pills, 27 kilograms of hemp, a hemp plant, 93 grams of heroin, 10 Phensedyl syrups and 10 injections were seized from their possessions, DMP media and public relations department office said.
A total of 42 cases were filed with the police stations concerned under the Narcotics Control Act.
