86 held in anti-drug drives in city

DMP in anti-drug drives detained 86 people along with drugs from different areas of the city in last 24 hours as of 6:00am on Saturday.



Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in anti-drug drives detained 86 people along with drugs from different areas of the city in last 24 hours as of 6:00am on Saturday.
During the drives, 2,921 Yaba tablets, 10.56 kilograms of hemp, 445 grams and 84 puria ( small packet) of heroin and 104 bottles of Phensedyl syrup were recovered from their possessions, DMP Media and Public Relations deputy commisioner Md Faruq Hossain said.
A total of 56 cases were filed with the police stations concerned under the Narcotics Control Act.
