Police have recovered the bodies of a man and his wife at their rented flat on Babur Road in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur.
The bodies were recovered early Monday (September 26).
The deceased were identified as Noman, 32, and his wife Shamima, 24. Both hailed from Lalmohan upazila of Bhola district.
Confirming this to risingbd, Mujib Patwari, an assistant commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said getting a phone call from 999 around 11:30 pm on Sunday, a team of police rushed to the spot. Later, they broke open the door and recovered the bodies from the second floor of the building.
Noman’s body was hanging from the ceiling while Shamima was lying on the floor, said Mujib Patwari.
The bodies were kept at a hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
It is suspected that Noman might have committed suicide after killing her wife.
