Police have set up check posts at 11 important points in Narayanganj.



Police have set up check posts at 11 important points in Narayanganj, the entrance of Dhaka Ahead of BNP’s December 10 rally. Law enforcers are searching various vehicles. Meanwhile, all types of public transport are running on the Dhaka-Narayanganj route.

On Friday (December 9), police said the search is being conducted to bring relief to people’s minds, to avoid vandalism and to prevent miscreants from entering the capital Dhaka.

The check points have been set up at Chashara in Narayanganj Sadar, Mandalpara, Syedpur point along Dhaka Chittagong highway signboard in Fatulla, Mouchak in Siddhirganj, Kanchpur point in Sonargaon, Nabiganj junction in Bandar Thana, Sultana Kamal Bridge in Rupganj, Balu Nadi Bridge, Sonpara on Dhaka Sylhet highway in Araihazar and Jalakandi area in Bishnandi Ferry Ghat.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) of Narayanganj Amir Khosru said the search is being conducted to avoid sabotage and to prevent miscreants from entering the capital Dhaka. All types of public transport are running on the Narayanganj-Dhaka route. The environment of Narayanganj is peaceful.
