One held with 194 Yaba tablets in Rangpur

A man was arrested with 194 pieces of Yaba tablets from village Paschim Poddarpara under Haragachh police station of Rangpur metropolis on Saturday.



 Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in a drive arrested a man with 194 pieces of Yaba tablets from village Paschim Poddarpara under Haragachh police station of Rangpur metropolis Saturday.

“On a tip off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Specialised Company of RAB-13 conducted the drive and arrested the man red-handed with the contraband Yaba tablets from the spot,” a press release said.

 The detainee was identified as Nur Mohammad Sabuz, 27, of village Sarai Paschim Poddarpara under Haragachh police station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police.

 During preliminary interrogation, the detainee admitted his involvement in drug trading in connivance with his other cohorts.

 “After filing a case against the arrested person in this connection, the elite force handed him over to Haragachh police station in Rangpur,” the release added.
