Touchstone idol seized in Gaibandha

Police seized an idol made of touchstone from a farm land at Katabari village in Gabindaganj upazila on Friday.



Police seized an idol made of touchstone from a farm land at Katabari village in Gabindaganj upazila on Friday.

Police said workers found the idol weighing 3.5 kilograms while cultivating land. Meanwhile, the workers tried to hide it. Later, locals took it to union parishad chairman.

Katabari union parishad chairman Jobayer Hasan said local workers found an idol and sent it to the police.

Milan Chatterjee, in-charge of Bairagihat police outpost in Gabindaganj confirmed the matter.
