Vatara police have arrested 'Victor Classic Paribahan' bus driver and helper over the death of a private university student at Pragati Sarani in the capital.
DMP's Gulshan divisional deputy police commissioner Abdul Ahad confirmed the arrest news on Monday morning.
The arrested are, driver Md Liton, 38, and his assistant Abul Khayer, 22.
Police said they arrested the Liton and Abul from Anondanagar area under Badda Police Station around 8:30am.
Earlier, Jahangir Alm, father of deceased Nadia, filed a case with Vatara Police Station under Road Transport Act.
Victim Nadia, 24, was a 4th year student of the Department of Pharmacy at Northern University Bangladesh.
She was killed when a Victor Classic Paribahan's minibus hit her on Pragati Sarani area under Vatara Police Station early Sunday (January 22).
