Two arrested with 15 gold bars in Khulna
Police arrested two persons with 15 gold bars conducting a drive at Zero Point area of Khulna city on Saturday.
Police arrested two persons with 15 gold bars conducting a drive at Zero Point area of Khulna city on Saturday (January 28).
The arrestees were known Emon and Abul Hossain.
Anamul Haque, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lobonchara Police Station, confirmed the matter.
He said, “Emon and Abul Hossain arrived in Zero Point of Khulna city from Dhaka. Police suspected them when they got down from a bus for another vehicle for Satkhira. Later, they were searched and found 15 gold bars from their possessions. Though they both live in Dhaka, but one is from Chattogram while another from Cumilla.
Arrestees acknowledged during interrogation that they were smuggling the golds to India.
