25 cases filed, 193 arrested over Panchagarh clash

Police have so far arrested 193 people in 25 cases filed in connection with the clashes in Panchagarh on March 3.



Police have so far arrested 193 people in 25 cases filed in connection with the clashes between police and Muslim devotees over ‘Salana Jalsa’ event of the Ahmadiyya community in Panchagarh on March 3.
In last 24 hours, three people were arrested.
More than 10,000 named and unnamed people were made accused in the cases filed with Panchagarh Sadar Police Station and Boda Police Station on various charges including spreading rumours, attacks, vandalism, looting and obstructing government work.
Of the 25 cases filed, 20 have been filed with Panchagarh Sadar Police Station and five with Boda Police Station.
Panchagarh Police Super SM Sirajul Huda confirmed the development on Tuesday (March 14) morning.
