Police have arrested four members of a robber gang for robbery on different city streets by a pickup van for the last four days.

The arrested men are Sohel, 30; Akter alias Sohrab, 32, Abir Hossain alias Rassel, 25 and Rony, 28.
The robbery incidents took place from May 12 to 14. During this period, the gang mugged at least four people including a female police constable on Dhaka streets They also robbed a pickup van five to six days ago which they used for the robbery.
Hayatul Islam Khan, deputy commissioner of Motijheel Division Police, said these at a press briefing on Tuesday.
A police team arrested the four during their drive following a case filed by female constable Nargis Akter.
The team also seized the pick-up van, two knives and four mobile phone sets from their possession.
On May 12, the gang members snatched away a gold chain, cash money and mobile phone from Nargis Akter, constable of Special Branch, at gunpoint. Later, she filed the case with Paltan Police Station.
