4-tier security in Chattogram for Puja celebration

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has adopted a four-tier security system to ensure flawless security in 277 puja mandaps in Chattogram.

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has adopted a four-tier security system to ensure flawless security in 277 puja mandaps in Chattogram.

CMP Commissioner Krishna Pada Roy said this while addressing a briefing after visiting Jm Sen Puja Mandap on Thursday (October 19).

He said that along with plain-dressed policemen, policemen from the Striking Reserve Force, SWAT, Bomb Disposal Unit will be deployed. Besides, detectives will work in these spots.

A “Sampriti committee” has been formed in each mandap avoiding caste and religion. Separate gates for male and female visitors have been installed in puja mandaps, the CMP commissioner added.

CMP additional police commissioner (administration and finance) M A Masud, Additional police commissioner (crime and operation) ASM Mahtab Uddin, Additional police commissioner (traffic) Abdul Mannan Mia and others attended the press briefing.
