CMP arrests 17 gamblers in Ctg

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has arrested 17 gamblers in a raid carried out at city’s Asadgonj area gambling spot under Kotwali thana here Wednesday night.

Noyon Barua, duty officer of Kotwali thana told the journalists that the raid was carried out at Asadgonj Sutki (dry fish) Potty gambling spot under Kotwali thana in the city at 10 pm last night.
The arrested are- Md. Harun, 47, Md. Rafiq, 60, Md. Mohiuddin, 30, Md. Rubel, 28, Zakir Hossain, 40, Abul Hossain, 60, Md. Solaiman, 42, Md. Nurul Islam, 24, Md. Manik, 25, Md. Belal Hossain, 25, Md. Yusuf, 34, Md. Zafar, 39, Md. Jasim, 44, Nur Nobi,37, Jewel, 33, Md. Ebadul,35 and Md. Khaled Morshed, 45.
Regular cases have been filed against them with Kotwali thana. They have been sent to the court after showing them arrest, he added.
