Moulvibazar, May 18 - Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said that they have been able to effectively control militancy and terrorism in the country by working together with the Prime Minister's 'Zero Tolerance' policy.

Once, there was a rise of militancy and terrorism in the country. Today, with the cooperation of all, Bangladesh Police has been able to maintain the law and order situation in this country.

The IGP was talking to reporters after inaugurating the Liberation War-themed terracotta 'Mrityunjai' at Moulvibazar District Police Lines and 'Bangabandhu Corner' at the office of the District Superintendent of Police on Saturday.

The police chief stated that every member of the Bangladesh Police is dedicated to serving the people, inspired by the spirit of the great liberation war and driven by patriotism.

Among others, Sylhet Range DIG Shah Mizan Shafiur Rahman, Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Zakir Hossain Khan, and Moulvibazar District Superintendent of Police Md Manjur Hossain were also present.-UNB
