Farmer’s body recovered from a house in Magura, 2 arrested



Magura, May 21 - Police recovered the body of a farmer from his house at Borokhari village in Magura's Sadar upazila on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Hafizur Lashkar (63) of the village.

Magura Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mehedi Hasan confirmed the incident.

Hafizur's body was found near his house around 4:00 am Tuesday, he said.

The deceased's son Tamim Lashkar, said that they all went to sleep after 10:00 pm and woke up to find their father's body in a corner of the room after Fazr.

Hearing their screams, the villagers came and informed the police.

Police recovered Hafizur's sandals from inside a canal nearby and saw bloodstains near neighbour Harun's house on the other side of the canal.

Meanwhile, Harun (40) and Faruk (38) were suspected for their involvement in the incident. A case has been filed with Magura Police Station. 

The body has been sent to a Magura hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.-UNB
