Scrap seller found murdered in Bagerhat



Bagerhat Jun 09 - A 22-year-old scrap seller was found murdered in the Nagerbazar area of Bagerhat town early Sunday.

The victim, identified as Bashar Khalifa, was the son of Abdul Aziz Khalifa from the Nagerbazar Railway slum.

According to the victim’s elder brother, Mahbub, Bashar left home around 9 on Saturday night and did not return. His body was discovered on the road early the next morning.

Saidur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Bagerhat Model Police Station, confirmed the incident, noting that Bashar had severe injury marks on the back of his head.

Preparations are underway to take legal action in this regard, he added.-UNB
