All four members of a family including two minor sisters were found dead in their house at Bijoypara in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria on Sunday, said police.

The deceased included Shohag, 33, his wife Jannat, 25, their daughters Fahima,4, and Sadia,2. Shohag used to work in a cloth store in Nabinagar municipality.
Quoting locals, Sirajul Islam, additional superintendent of police (Nabinagar Circle), said like the other days Shohag and his family members fell asleep on Saturday night but didn’t wake up in the morning.
Sensing something unusual, neighbours called them from outside the house but received no response for long, he said.
Breaking open the door, the neighbours found the bodies of Shohag and one of the daughters hanging from a wooden pole with ropes and the body of Jannat lying on the bed and that of another daughter beside the bed, reports UNB.
Being informed, police recovered the bodies from the house and sent those to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
The cause of their deaths will be known once the autopsy report is available, he added.
