Ex SB Chief Monirul, ex DMP Commissioner Habibur sent on forced retirement

Former SB Chief, Ex DMP Commissioner sent on forced retirement



Dhaka, August 13 - Former Special Branch (SB) Chief, Additional Inspector General of Police, Md. Monirul Islam and former Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman have been sent on forced retirement.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued two separate notifications on Tuesday, ordering the retirement of these two senior police officers.

The notifications were signed by Md. Jahangir Alam, Secretary of the Public Security Division of the ministry, under the orders of the President.

According to the notifications, Additional IGP Md. Monirul Islam, a member of the BCS (Police) cadre attached to the Police Headquarters, has been sent on retirement in public interest under Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018.

In a similar notification, Habibur Rahman, also a BCS (Police) cadre member attached to the Police Headquarters, has been sent on retirement under the same section of the Government Service Act, 2018, in public interest.-UNB
