BNP leader Rizvi demands action against the policemen involved in various crimes

Dhaka, Aug 14 - BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Wednesday demanded immediate action against the police personnel involved in various crimes.

“Those responsible for crimes within the police force, which was created by Sheikh Hasina, must be identified and punished immediately,” he said.

Talking to reporters after visiting injured students at the Suhrawardy Hospital in the capital, the BNP leader also said, those who from the government instigated the police force to kill the innocent people should also be brought to justice quickly.

Pointing at the current interim administration, he said, it is also the responsibility of the government to ban the use of brutal weapons like short guns by the police in suppressing the agitations and protests.

Rizvi said, the current government has to act as per the desires of the people since it was formed following the sacrifices of the blood of the children and teenagers.

The BNP leader said, from 12-year-old children to 24-year-old youths are still fighting for life in government hospitals in Dhaka city after receiving bullets of short guns or getting extreme thrashing by the law enforcers.

“This horror brutality is the contribution of former illegal Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She repressed the democracy-loving people to suppress their voices and to silence the entire Bangladesh by equipping the police with lethal arms,” he observed.

Rizvi said, the terrible autocratic Awami League government used the police force to eliminate democratic forces.

“In such a situation, I pray for the salvation of the souls of all the students who have shed their blood and created an opportunity for the people of the country to breathe free air,” he added.

The BNP leader also wished speedy recovery to those who are seriously injured and those who are suffering with the agony of death at hospitals in Dhaka city and all over Bangladesh.
