Ex Addl Attorney General Mehedi, Gazipur AL leader Riaz arrested

The duo arrested from Jhenaidah district while trying to cross the border illegally



Dhaka, Sept 11 - Former Additional Attorney General Barrister Md Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury and Gazipur Metropolitan Awami League Advisory Council member Riaz Mahmud were arrested from Jhenaidah district while trying to cross the border illegally.

Jhenaidah police arrested them while they were trying to cross the border on Tuesday night, according to sources at Police Headquarters.

Both of them were arrested as they were ‘ezhar listed’ accused in two separate cases filed with Adabor Police Station under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and Bason Police Station under Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP).-UNB
