Former OC of Jatrabari Police Station arrested in Teknaf

He may have been attempting to illegally cross into Malaysia or Thailand through Teknaf border.



Cox’s Bazar, Sept 16 - Former Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhaka's Jatrabari Police Station, Md. Abul Hasan Chowdhury, has been arrested at the Teknaf border. 

Teknaf police apprehended him on Monday (September 16).Cox's Bazar Additional Superintendent of Police, Md. Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, confirmed that Abul Hasan, who previously served as the OC of Jatrabari during student movement, is currently a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) inspector.

The Additional Superintendent also revealed that multiple murder cases have been filed against Abul Hasan.

Abul Hasan is a resident of Narail district. The reason for his presence at the Teknaf border remains unknown. However, locals suspect that he may have been attempting to illegally cross into Malaysia or Thailand through the Teknaf border.-UNB
