38-year-old man stabbed to death in Savar

Stabbing at Savar New Market area



Savar, Oct 29 - A 38-year-old man was stabbed to death by hijackers on the Savar New Market area highway early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Md Asaduzzaman, son of Abu Bakar Siddique of Taraganj in Rangpur.

Savar Model Police Station Sub-inspector Mahbub Ullah Sarkar confirmed the incident.

According to police and local sources, Saiful, a policeman of Gulshan Police Station in Dhaka, saw the body of the man lying in a pool of blood on the highway on his way home. Later, he informed Savar Model Police Station.

Police later recovered the body and took it to the police station.

Legal proceedings are underway over the matter, said the SI.-UNB
