Inu, Salman and 3 Others Arrested in Murder Cases

A Dhaka court today ordered the arrest of five individuals, including Hasanul Haque Inu and Salman F Rahman, in connection with new murder and attempted murder charges related to the student-led uprising that occurred in July and August.


The other three individuals arrested are Shahjahan Khan, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and Atiqul Islam.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sharifur Rahman issued the arrest orders after the police presented the accused in court and requested their detention in the newly filed cases.

Salman F Rahman was arrested in connection with a murder case filed with the Mirpur Model Police Station. Zunaid Ahmed Palak was arrested in another murder case filed with the Shahbagh Police Station. Former Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Atiqul Islam faced arrest in both a murder attempt case filed with the Airport Police Station and a murder case lodged with the Uttara West Police Station.

Shahjahan Khan was arrested in connection with a murder case filed with the Hatirjheel Police Station, while Hasanul Haque Inu was arrested in a separate murder case filed with the Gulshan Police Station.
