3 members of a robbery gang arrested in Dhaka

DB Police arrest the robber gang from Mirpur area



Dhaka, Jan 08 - Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested three members of a robber gang while they were preparing to commit a robbery at Mirpur area of the capital.

The arrestees were identified as Md Nannu, 41, Kazi Foysal, 35, and Bashir Molla, 44.

Tipped off, a team of DB police conducted a drive in the Love Road area on Tuesday midnight and arrested them along with three sharp weapons, while the others managed to flee the scene, sensing the presence of DB police.

A case was filed with Mirpur Model Police Station, said Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (Media) of the DMP.

All of them were wanted in different cases including mugging and robbery.

Efforts are underway to arrest the other members of the gang, he added.-UNB
