2,129 cases filed for traffic rules violation in Dhaka

Dhaka, 16 Jan  –The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 2,129 cases against offenders on charge of violating traffic rules after conducting enforcement drives in parts of the capital.

Sixty-seven vehicles were dumped, and 44 others towed away, according to the DMP.

The drives were conducted by eight traffic divisions of the DMP on Wednesday to ensure discipline on the city streets, said Deputy Commissioner (DC media) of DMP Talebur Rahman.

The DMP vowed to continue its drive to bring back traffic discipline in the city
