Narayanganj, July 12  – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP's) Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit on Sunday night cordoned off a suspected militant den in Narayanganj's Araihazar.
Police suspect that Neo JMB men have stored bombs and bomb-making materials in the house – located in Araihazar's Noagaon Miabari.
CTTC found out about the house after arresting the imam of a Noagaon mosque, Abdullah Al Mamun, in the evening for his alleged involvement in militancy.
"During primary interrogation, Mamun admitted that he is an active member of Neo JMB," CTTC Bomb Disposal Unit's Additional Deputy Commissioner AKM Rahmatullah said.
"The house was used as a den of militants to make bombs. The bomb, found near a police box in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj on May 17, was made in this house, CTTC Additional Deputy Commissioner Ahmedul Islam said.
Police said they would enter the house after assessing the situation. - UNB
