PM Tarique to visit Mymensingh tomorrow

Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Mymensingh tomorrow to attend a series of official and political programmes.


During the visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate a canal re-excavation project, formally open the national programme marking the birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and attend an organisational meeting of the ruling BNP. 

According to the tour schedule shared by the Prime Minister's Press Wing today, Tarique Rahman will leave Dhaka for Trishal in Mymensingh by road at 9:00 am on Saturday.

Around 12 noon, he will inaugurate the re-excavation work of the Dharar canal at Bailor Union in Trishal.

Later, after a short break at the Trishal Nazrul Dak Bungalow, the Prime Minister will join the national programme celebrating the 127th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam at the Nazrul Stage in Trishal at 3:00 pm. He will also formally inaugurate the three-day Nazrul birth anniversary celebrations there.

Later, at 5 pm, Tarique Rahman will participate in an organisational meeting of BNP's Mymensingh North, South and Metropolitan units at the Nazrul Auditorium in Trishal.

The Prime Minister is expected to leave Mymensingh for Dhaka by road around 6:30 pm, reports BSS.
