Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday instructed BNP reserved seat MP Ferdousy Ahmed Mishti to step down.

Deputy Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Mostafa Zulfiquar Hasan (Hasan Shiplu) disclosed the matter  at noon.

The development came following the demolition of the Radda MCH-FP Centre, a maternal and child healthcare facility in Mirpur, Dhaka, last Thursday.

The health centre was attacked, vandalised and looted at midnight, with allegations surfacing of involvement of leaders and activists of the ruling party at different levels, reports UNB.
