BNP On Sunday sat with Bangladesh People's League and Jatiya Dal to forge national unity to wage a greater movement to oust the government and ensure that the next national election is held under a neutral administration.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir along with party standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan had separate meetings with the parties, components of the 20-party alliance, at BNP Chairperson's Gulshan office.

People's League President Garib-e-Newaz and Secretary General Syed Mahbub Morshed and Jatiya Dal Chairman Syed Ehsanul Huda and Secretary General Rafiqul Islam led their parties.

After the meetings, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told the reporters that they had discussions with People's League and Jatiya Dal as part of their move to unite all political parties to oust the current "fascist" and "authoritarian" government.

"We agreed to wage a movement by forging a greater unity to remove this regime and ensure a fair election under a neutral government," he added.
