4,000 Ansar deployed in capital ahead of BNP rally

A total of 4,000 Ansar members have been deployed in the capital ahead of BNP's rally on Saturday.

Md Kamrul Islam, director (Operations) of Ansar VDP, confirmed the matter.

Alongside police and Rab the Ansar members were deployed in different parts of the city to avert any untoward incidents centring the rally, he said.

Ansar members have been deployed along with policemen at every police station, and every checkpoint, added Kamrul Islam.

He also said that they are performing their duties by giving importance to the protection of public properties.

Law enforcement agencies are on high alert to prevent any kind of anarchy surrounding the BNP rally on Saturday, reports UNB.
