BNP has taken the preparations to hold countrywide simultaneous sit in demonstrations with 32 likeminded political parties today.

The sit in demonstrations would be held from 11 am to 4 pm in 10 political divisions, said BNP leaders.

BNP’s coordination committees at districts and the grassroots completed the preparations to hold the sit in demonstrations.

BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain said, "We will hold the sit in demonstrations to restore democracy as spelt out in our 10-point action plan.”

He said, “The people of the country will no more tolerate misrule and money laundering under the patronage of the unelected Awami League regime. That’s why the people are participating in our mass rallies  peacefully.”

After holding a meeting with Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Khandaker Golam Farooq on Tuesday, BNP Vice Chairman Dr AZM Zahid Hossain said “We will peacefully hold our sit in demonstrations across Dhaka city.”

Dr Zahid said, “We will hold the sit in protests on footpaths, roads and road dividers from 11 am to 4 pm.”
