Tensions have escalated after two factions of the ruling Awami League clashed in Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla on Tuesday.



Tensions have escalated after two factions of the ruling Awami League clashed in Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla on Tuesday morning.
After the clash the traffic movement on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway has remained suspended.
According to sources, supporters and activists of Cumilla- 11 MP Md Mazibul Hoque and Chauddagram municipality former mayor Md Mizanur Rahman brought out separate processions over establishing supremacy, and one stage they locked into a clash.
