BNP’s hopes have not been fulfilled by foreigners, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

"Foreigners came and left but their (BNP’s) hopes were not fulfilled. Now it's all Sheikh Hasina's fault. They are upset to think that they will actually get defeated in the election," he said  while addressing as the chief guest at Awami League's peace and development procession organised at the Saat Rasta area at Tejgaon in the capital on Wednesday afternoon, reports UNB.

“The American representatives came and left. The BNP did not get what it wanted to hear. Because America has told BNP leaders that there is no need for a caretaker government,” said the AL leader.

“The next general election will be held in accordance with the constitution. BNP will have to come to elections under Sheikh Hasina. That's their irritation," he said.

"There is only one slogan and point across the country - Sheikh Hasina's Bangladesh. Come here at Saat Rasta and see the crowd and the revolution of the people,” he added.

Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges minister, told the BNP leaders to stop the movement and come to the election to have dignity. Otherwise, there will be no respect, he said.
