BNP leaders to avoid Somoy TV and Ekattor TV talk shows

BNP leaders have decided not to participate in the talk show programmes of private television channels Somoy TV and Ekattor TV, reports UNB.

Confirming the matter to UNB on Tuesday, BNP Publicity Secretary and Media Cell Member Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie said:  "The decision was taken after discussion with the party leaders and central leaders who participated in the talk show. We will not participate in the talk shows of these two TV channels until further notice."

"Somoy TV is broadcasting videos to defame BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and the Zia family. The channel is behaving like an enemy, spreading false information," he said.

"Ekattor TV's talk show presenters narrate their own stories. Sometimes they cleverly organise events to defame our party and the party’s leadership," he added.
