Keraniganj, Aug 17 – BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rahul Kabir Rizvi on Thursday said no one in the country is safe under this autocratic government.

"Begum Khaleda Zia went to jail on foot but the government sent her back home in a wheelchair. On August 14, the doctors who had demanded death penalty of Delawar Hossain Sayeedi were in charge of his treatment. So we're afraid. Allama Sayeedi's death is mysterious,” said the BNP leader while addressing a program marking Khaleda Zia's 78th birthday at BNP’sJinjira bus road office in Keraniganj on Thursday.

“This is proof of how cruel this government is. BNP will not participate in any election until this autocratic government resigns.”

Rizvi also said Sheikh Hasina will have to resign before the election and BNP will join the polls if it is held under a non-party caretaker government by dissolving the parliament.

Dhaka District BNP President Khandaker Abu Ashfaq, General Secretary Advocate Nipun Roy Chowdhury, Shyamal Biswas, Rezaul Kabir Paul and Haji Masum, among others, spoke on the occasion.
