Dhaka City South and Dhaka City North BNP will organise the rally where the party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will present as chief guest.

The BNP men will hold the rally demanding release of ailing party chairperson Khaleda Zia and her advanced treatment abroad.

Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital since August 9 last. Physicians said her physical condition became very critical. She was shifted to the critical care unit (CCU) from the cabin just after four days into her admission to the hospital. Physicians advised to send her abroad as early as possible saying that the existing treatment method is not enough for her proper treatment in the country. But, it could not be possible to send her abroad as the government has not given permission to do so.

The 78-year-old Khaleda Zia has long been suffering from arthritis, diabetes, kidney and liver ailments.
