BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has again been shifted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Evercare Hospital after her physical condition deteriorated.
She was moved to the CCU of the hospital at around 5:15 pm, Thursday, said her press wing member Shyrul Kabir Khan.
A BNP source said that doctors of home and abroad are staying there to observe her physical condition.
Of the physicians, who are observing Khaleda at the CCU, Dr Christo Georgiades, Dr James Peter Adam Hamilton and Dr Hamid Ahmed Abdur Rab from the US, and Dr F M Siddique, Dr A Z M Zahid Hossain, Dr Abdullah Al Mamun and Dr Nuruddin Ahmed from the Evercare Hospital itself.
Khaleda, 78, has been suffering from various physical complications, including heart problems and liver cirrhosis. Besides, she faces health challenges such as arthritis, diabetes, dental issues, and eye complications.
She was moved to the CCU several times before as her condition deteriorated at those times. Before that, the former prime minister was admitted to Evercare on August 9 last with various health complications.
