Mahiya Mahi show-caused for breaching polls code

Sessions Judge Md Abu Sayed, also chairman of election investigation committee of the constituency, served the show-cause notice.



The Election Commission has served a show-cause notice to Sharmin Akhter Nipa alias Mahiya Mahi, an independent candidate for Rajshahi-1 constituency, for violating the election code of conducts.

According to the notice, Mahi has been asked to give an explanation on December 17.

General Secretary of Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote and Sharmin Akhter Nipa alias Mahiya Mahi will contest in the constituency as an independent candidate.
