DMP allows Awami League to hold election rally in Dhaka Monday

DMP has imposed 20 conditions for the rally, where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to be present.



Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has allowed Awami League to hold an electoral rally on Kalabagan field in Dhaka on Monday (January 1).

A notice signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Abu Yusuf on behalf of the DMP commissioner was sent to Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League Office Secretary Riaz Uddin Riaz on Saturday.

DMP has imposed 20 conditions for the rally, where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to be present. 

Some of the conditions say that Awami League has to ask for permission to use the rally ground from its owners.

Rally and electioneering along with the projector should be confined to the allocated area. 

Volunteers should be on the with visible identity cards for security. The use of microphones should not cause any sound pollution. 

Additionally, any actions that may offend religious sentiments or the state are strictly prohibited
