Dhaka, Jan 22 — Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Monday said BNP is now spreading rumours at home and abroad by indulging in anti-government activities.

“Rumour terrorism has been associated with their arson terrorism,” he said at a press briefing at the Awami League president's office in Dhanmondi in the capital this noon.

Commodity prices are rising all over the world. But they are spreading propaganda by saying this situation is a potential famine,he said.

“If BNP had moved forward with positive politics, it would not have fallen so suddenly. In trying to topple the government, they have fallen into the pit of collapse,” he added.

Replying to a question from journalists, Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said the political party with the second highest number of seats in the electipn will be the main opposition party. - UNB
