Mirza Abbas gets bail in six cases

A Dhaka court has granted bail to BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas in six separate cases.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, the BNP leader was shown arrested in nine separate cases filed with Ramna and Paltan Model Police Stations in the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury and Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sultan Sohag Uddin accepted separate pleas to show Mirza Abbas arrested in five cases with Paltan Model Thana and four cases with Ramna Police Station, respectively.

On October 28, BNP leaders and workers reportedly locked into a clash with police in Nayapaltan and its surrounding areas of the capital during the party's grand rally.

A total of 11 cases were filed against Abbas following the incidents.
