The nomination forms submitted within the stipulated time will be scrutinised from 19 to 20 February, according to the schedule.



The deadline for the submission of nomination papers for the 50 reserved seats (women) in the 12th Jatiya Sangsad is set to end today (February 18) 4:00pm.

After the scrutiny is done, the candidates will have an open window to withdraw by February 25.

Earlier EC secretary Md Jahangir Alam said Bangladesh Awami League will get 48 seats out of 50 reserved seats. Besides, Jatiya Party will get two seats.

EC election management wing officials said that the voter list has already been prepared. Voting will not be required if there is no contestant found. However, the parties have already announced their list of candidates. So, there is no chance of arranging vote in this regard.
