Habibur Rahman Habib

BNP Chairperson’s Adviser and Pabna District BNP Convener Habibur Rahman Habib has beenreleased from prison.

He walked out of Keraniganj Central Jail, Dhaka on Sunday afternoon. At that time, BNP chief’s Special Assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Bishwas was present there.

A court of Dhaka sentenced Habib to four years in jail in a case over subversive acts in early October and after the verdict, he went into hiding.

On November 20, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Habib from Dhaka’s Mirpur DOHS area for not appearing in court after being summoned for ‘derogatory remarks’ on a High Court judge. - Special Correspondent
