‘Those who have looted and committed genocide must be tried’

Patuakhali: BNP Central Committee Training Affairs Secretary, prominent talk shows personality, Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain said, ‘Murderer Hasina has fled the country. Hasina, Rehena, Joy and Tulip looted 60 thousand crore taka. Lakhs of crores of taka have been smuggled by leaders and workers including ministers, MPs. But country’s leader Begum Khaleda Zia did not leave the country. 3000 of our leaders and workers have gone missing. Thousands of our leaders and activists including my leader Begum Khaleda Zia have been put in jail. Meetings and gatherings are not allowed. After 16 years, I am standing in front of you today.' ABM Mosharraf Hossain said these things in his speech as the chief guest at a public reception organized by upazila BNP and allied organizations on Sunday (September 1st) at 6:30 pm in the ground adjacent to the Kalapara Press Club in Patuakhali. 

Under the chairmanship of Upazila BNP president Haji Humayun Sikder, ABM Mosharraf Hossain also said, ‘I want to tell the interim government that those who looted and committed genocide should be tried on this country's soil. Every murder must be tried on the soil of this country. Awami League has tarnished the judiciary. All those who have committed corruption and injustice, including RAB, police, should be brought under the law.’ 

ABM Mosharraf Hossain said, ‘I am telling the BNP leaders and workers that no terrorist activities, extortion, land grabbing can be done. Arbitration cannot be done. Punitive action will be taken against anyone who is involved in these crimes no matter how big the leader is. Central leaders have already been expelled from the party.’ 

ABM Mosharraf Hossain said to the leaders and workers of Awami League, ‘Who will lead politics? Your leader has run away.’ 

District BNP Member Secretary Snehanshu Sarkar Kutri spoke as the main speaker, District BNP leader Mostak Ahmed Pinu, Upazila BNP General Secretary Advocate Md. Hafizur Rahman Chunnu, Mahipur Thana BNP President A: Jalil Howladar, Municipal BNP President Gazi Md. Farooq etc. spoke as special guests. 

Earlier, when the leaders and activists arrived at the reception place, they greeted ABM Mosharraf Hossain with flowers. At the beginning of the program, a recitation from the Quran and a special prayer for the peace of the departed souls of those killed in the anti-disappearance, murder and anti-discrimination student movement in the Awami regime were held. 

Around the arrival of BNP central leader ABM Mosharraf Hossain to Kalapara after almost 16 years, the leaders and activists of BNP and allied organizations started gathering in the field adjacent to Preskab from noon. By afternoon the reception ground turned into a throng. - Gofran Biswas Palash
