Dhaka, Sept 2 — BNP has returned Tk 10 lakh to Fakhruddin Ahmed Bacchu, who was recently expelled from the party.

Bacchu, previously the Joint Convener of the BNP Mymensingh South District and Convener of the Bhaluka Upazila unit BNP, had donated the money to the party’s relief fund.

Abdus Salam Azad, the party’s member secretary of the relief collection committee, said that the committee was unaware of Bacchu’s expulsion at the time of receiving the donation. Upon discovering his expulsion, the committee promptly returned the Tk 10 lakh donation to Bacchu.

Earlier on Sunday, Fakhruddin Ahmed Bacchu was expelled from the BNP and stripped of all party positions, including his primary membership, due to allegations of involvement in activities against the organization. - UNB
