Future reforms will follow today's changes: Dr Moyeen Khan

"The AL govt has undermined democracy & established dictatorship over the past 15 years".

Narsingdi, Sept 14 - BNP standing committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan has said reforms are a continuous process.

"The reforms implemented by the current government today will be subject to further changes in the future. Reforms are an ongoing process, and only the essential reforms will be pursued,” he said.

Dr Moyeen was speaking at a condolence meeting and prayer for victims of the anti-discrimination movement at the Eidgah ground in Bhagirathpur, Meherpur union of Narsingdi, on Saturday.

The BNP leader criticised the Awami League government, accusing it of undermining democracy and establishing a dictatorship over the past 15 years.

He asserted that the government has deprived the people of their voting rights and imposed a reign of violence and oppression. He stressed that democracy cannot thrive without voting rights and affirmed that the true ownership of Bangladesh lies with its 18 crore people.

Financial assistance was also provided to the families of the deceased as part of the party’s support.

The programme was presided over by Abdur Rashid, President of the Meherpur Union BNP. Erfan Ali, President of Palash Upazila BNP, and VP Monir, General Secretary of Meherpur Union BNP, spoke at the programme, among others.-UNB
