Jatiatabadi Swecchasebok Dal leader injured in shooting in Rampura

The injured Swecchasebok Dal leader rushed to DMCH emergency department



Dhaka, Nov 29 - A leader of the Jatiatabadi Swecchasebok Dal’s Rampura Thana unit, was injured in a shooting incident near the Rampura Commissioner’s Office on Friday afternoon.

Swecchasebok Dal is the BNP's voluntary wing.

The victim Mohammad Al Amin (35), is the son of Nurul Haque and resides behind the BTV building in Rampura.

The incident occurred around 4:30 PM when Al Amin spotted members of the Shahzada group near the Commissioner’s Office and alerted the police.

According to his brother, Md Raihan, Al Amin, along with 5-6 others, attempted to apprehend the group. However, the Shahzada group opened fire, injuring Al Amin in his right shoulder.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s (DMCH) emergency department later in the evening.

Inspector Md Faruk, In-Charge of DMCH Police Outpost, confirmed that Al Amin is currently undergoing treatment. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident to arrest the attackers.-UNB
