Former MP Nadwi arrested in Dhaka

Abu Reza Mohammad Nezamuddin Nadwi, a former lawmaker from Chattogram-15, was arrested in Dhaka’s Uttara area on Sunday night after being on the run for some time.

The arrest was confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (DMP), Md Talebur Rahman, who stated that a special team apprehended Nadwi while he was hiding.

Nadwi, who was nominated by the Awami League for the 12th parliamentary election, had been defeated by independent candidate MA Motaleb in the elections held on January 7 this year.
