Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan announced on Thursday that the government’s high-level probe committee investigating the Secretariat fire will submit its preliminary report within three days.

“We are committed to a thorough and comprehensive investigation. The government is treating this matter with the utmost priority,” she stated during a briefing at the Foreign Service Academy.

Rizwana added that an emergency meeting chaired by Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus had led to the decision to expedite the report.

She emphasized that all questions surrounding the incident will be addressed once the probe committee’s report is finalized, and assured that the media will receive a copy upon completion of the full investigation.
