India gave shelter to traitors: Jamaat leader

Cumilla, 24 Jan  - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeeb-e-Ameer Dr Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher has accused India of providing shelter to traitors.

Taher said that these sheltered individuals were responsible for numerous murders and looting in Bangladesh. The people of Bangladesh are demanding their return for trial.

The Jamaat leader was speaking at a Tafsiru-l-Quran Mahfil organised by the Konkapait Islami Samaj Kalyan Parishad in Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla last night.

Maulana Mustafa Kamal chaired the event with Maulana Qari Al-Amin serving as the chief Mufassir.

Special discussions were held by  Maulana Sadiqur Rahman Azhari and Maulana Mufti Lokman Hossain as special Mufassirs.

Leaders and workers from various levels of Jamaat in Chauddagram Upazila were present at the gathering.
