A three-member delegation from Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), including Barrister Zaima Rahman, daughter of party Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, is set to attend the prestigious National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C., USA. The delegation will be led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, with Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury also part of the team.

Mirza Fakhrul confirmed that he and Khosru will depart for Washington this evening (February 2). "The National Prayer Breakfast is an important event in the United States. Tarique Rahman, our Acting Chairman, was invited to attend but, due to unavoidable circumstances, his daughter, Barrister Zaima Rahman, will represent him at the event," Fakhrul said. Zaima will join the delegation in Washington after traveling from London.
According to BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan, Mirza Fakhrul and Amir Khosru are scheduled to fly from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on an Emirates Airlines flight at 6:30 pm.
The National Prayer Breakfast, slated for February 5-6 in Washington D.C., is an annual gathering that fosters dialogue among leaders from around the world on topics of faith, leadership, and global challenges. The event is organized by the US Congress, bringing together political, social, and religious figures from various countries.
On January 11, the National Prayer Breakfast Committee extended invitations to Tarique Rahman, Mirza Fakhrul, and Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury to participate in the event.
